Beta Program

We’re currently accepting beta testers for our AlphaACT FIRE simulation training and XCapture FIRE summer beta program. If you and your department are interested please review the requirements below prior to submitting an application.

Who

First responders from around the country
1 – 4 members from each department
People with innovative mindsets who like technology, don’t mind software bugs, and like
to break things

What

Provide feedback: Concept evaluation, operational testing (find bugs and performance problems), and usability testing (find problems with and optimize the user experience)
For: Two interrelated applications?AlphaACT FIRE first, followed by XCapture FIRE
Time commitment: Beta participants will be given an initial introduction to the system (1-2 hours of effort), then provide feedback about the applications based on use (2-3 hours per month for 3 months)
Required equipment: Computer with Internet access and IE-9 or Google Chrome browser

When

Feedback will be provided online via Internet from tester’s location (no travel required)
Two modes: Individual testing and group discussions via GoToMeeting

Beta feedback will be conducted online via Internet at tester’s local location (no travel)
Two modes: independent individual testing and group discussions via GoToMeeting
