Decorated Combat Patrol Leader Joins with AlphaTRAC to Revolutionize Crisis Decision-making
Denver, CO (October 2009) — Lt. Col. Fred Flynn (Ret.) has been named Vice President of East Coast Operations for AlphaTRAC, Inc. Lieutenant Colonel Flynn will be supporting business development within military sectors, fortifying AlphaTRAC’s training solutions, and assisting in the development, sales and training of AlphaTRAC’s revolutionary crisis management solutions.
“Lt. Col. Fred Flynn is providing the same level of leadership to AlphaTRAC that he brought to his command in Iraq,” said CEO Reed Hodgin. “He personifies AlphaTRAC’s commitment to understand and meet the needs of on-the-ground combat commanders and soldiers.”
Lieutenant Colonel Flynn brings a strong background of operational experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Energy (DOE), which will allow AlphaTRAC to expand its customer base. In addition, with extensive on-the-ground military operations training, he will assist with the development of DoD-focused, decision training software, designed to minimize casualties in environments involving the detection and disarming of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
“I joined AlphaTRAC for three reasons,” Flynn said. “AlphaTRAC’s delivery of world class products, their agility as a small business and their commitment to our men and women in uniform.”
Having served in the Army from 1977 to1998, Flynn retired in 1998 after commanding a battalion of 777 soldiers. Nine years later, he returned to active duty for two years in Baghdad, Iraq, where he served as a brigade, division, and corps-level transition team leader. Lieutenant Colonel Flynn executed over 200 combat missions while training the Iraqi Army and the Iraqi Police in counter-insurgency, roadside bomb and urban combat operations. He was awarded the Bronze Star for numerous combat actions in Baghdad and Sadr City, Iraq.
Flynn’s civilian experience includes extensive security consultation for DoD, commercial training and business development, and the direction and training of a high profile DOE nuclear facility.
