One of AlphaTRAC’s many strengths is its analytical approach to planning and preparedness. It develops Emergency Planning Hazards Assessments (EPHAs) in accordance with DOE Order 151.1C, the technical basis information on which detailed plans for risk avoidance and emergency response can be built.

An EPHA includes the identification and characterization of hazardous materials specific to a facility, site or operation; analyses of potential accidents or events; and the evaluation of potential consequences. The information is used to support plans and procedures, as well as work aids and tools used in effective emergency response.
