FEMA Prepares For Landfall Of Hurricane Alex
WASHINGTON -- With Hurricane Alex expected to make landfall early Thursday morning, the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is continuing to coordinate the federal response and support of the state of Texas in preparing for the storm. Alex is the first hurricane of the 2010 Atlantic hurricane season.

Disaster Recovery Center To Open In Logan
BEAVER, W. Va. -- A new Logan County Disaster Recovery Center will open on Thursday, July 1 at Logan High School to assist West Virginians who suffered damages and loss as a result of the severe storms and flooding beginning on June 12. President Obamas major disaster declaration authorized FEMAs Individual Assistance program in four counties: Logan, McDowell, Mingo, and Wyoming.
